As a 3rd Party Accredited “Fire Door” installer we are committed to fire safety and standards.
Service is the key to our success and all projects and thoroughly planned to ensure we exceed the client’s expectations, from products to deliveries, from waste to working practices we discuss and agree all aspects, nothing is left to chance.
Drawings also represent an important factor to any installation, all floor plans are issued with marked up locations and all new doors are issued showing design and size information.
When existing “Improvements” is the favoured chosen route our clients are made aware that we can maintain to existing design & performance. In some cases, where no product certification is visible then improvement work cannot be certified and no product certification can be issued.
Fire Doors are very often forgotten when it comes to maintenance, the perception of “its just a door” is all too common and active systems appear to take precedence over passive systems.
However, consider for a minute what protects you and your building from the travel of fire & smoke, the Fire Door is the first line of defence and its performance is critical.
A simple service visit is by far the best way to maintaining the “Fire Door” and the most cost effective solution. Not all doors are considered as being “suitable” for improvement works so it’s important to get them checked by a trained individual who can quickly assess the solution.
Product certification along with recognised installation standards ensure that the design performance of your fire door are maintained at all times. If and when a replacement is required, we can offer a bespoke design to suit your requirements.
Conditions Surveys are key to maintaining a record of the asset along with a practical way of recording as built information and any works carried out.
Think of this as an “MOT” for your door, without an annual service wear will take place and the expected performance will be affected. There are many options available when it comes to keeping records, however it’s crucial that whatever format is chosen the surveyor has a detailed knowledge of the regulation and the essential components required to maintain.
We have developed formats from a single page per door, a spreadsheet asset register to a photographical representation.
We believe however that whatever route is chosen it’s important to provide our clients with a schedule that reports on “actions” what has to be completed, how long will it take and what budget should be allocated.
Too often clients have been presented with volumes of information without any summary of actions required.
